Sources said the men were hurt when a car exploded in the West Bank village of Burkin at about 2 a.m.

Palestinian security officials reported the details of the blast to their Israeli counterparts later in the morning. Israel Defense Force officials declared the village a closed military zone and Shin Bet officials arrested several villagers.

Nabil Shaath, the Palestinian Authority's planning minister, said Israeli and Palestinian security forces are cooperating in the investigation.
