Correspondent | September 5, 2003 VANCOUVER (AP) — A judge denied bail Tuesday for a former Nazi guard convicted in absentia in Italy of 11 murders at the Bolzano camp during World War II. Michael Seifert, 79, is fighting extradition to Italy. His case has gone to the federal justice minister, who will decide whether to act on a judicial ruling last week that Seifert should be extradited. Seifert's lawyer, Doug Christie, says he will appeal the ruling and sought bail for his client at Tuesday's hearing since Seifert allegedly posed no risk of flight. J. Correspondent Also On J.
