Correspondent | February 10, 2006 Parents Place has two workshop series in the works for children and parents of school-aged children. The first begins Wednesday, Feb. 15 for parents of school-aged children, ages 5 to 12. The six-week series covers such topics as handling school stress, dealing with math phobia and preparing for parent-teacher conferences. All workshops are from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and are $20 per workshop, $100 for all six. The second series is for children who have difficulty with social interactions. Two playgroups are forming for children ages 3 to 4 and 5 to 6 and each goes for 10 weeks. Groups are facilitated by two therapists and participation is mandatory in all 10 sessions.
