Mideast peace advocates to speak in Bay Area A series of Israeli-Palestinian dialogues sponsored by a Mideast peace group will tour the Bay Area next week. Visiting representatives from OneVoice, which supports a two-state solution, will be on hand to discuss their grassroots organization’s efforts in Israel and the Palestinian territories. The discussions take place at the following times: • Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Monterey Institute of International Studies (McGowan Building) • 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 at U.C. Santa Cruz (Natural Sciences Annex 101) • 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 240 Tiburon Blvd., Tiburon. Admission is free • 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19 at U.C. El Al has options for travelers El Al, Israel’s national airline, is offering roundtrip flights from San Francisco to Israel from $1,251 through March 31. Because of a new American Airlines code share agreement, travel on El Al will now include the option of a free stopover in a European city. Also, El Al Matmid frequent flyer members can earn points on any flight operated by American and will be able to use the business lounges of either airline. The El Al schedule through March 2009 includes 20 nonstop flights from the United States to Tel Aviv every week, 17 from JFK/Newark and three from Los Angeles.
