Beloved daughter of the late Isaac and Fannie Friedman; dear sister of the late Sanford Friedman; cherished cousin (“sister”) of Barbara Castle. Devoted wife of the late Dr. Mervin J. Braunstein for 54 years; loving mother of Dr. Glenn (Jackie) Braunstein and Andrea (Steven) DeGraff; adoring grammy of Scott (Lulu) Braunstein, Jeffrey (Pamela) Braunstein, Craig (C.C.) DeGraff, Alison (Blake) Russ, Erin and Brent DeGraff and seven great-grandchildren. A third-generation native San Franciscan, Helen loved travel, Mahjongg, her grandchildren and her friends. She was elegant and stylish and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. The family would like to give thanks to Helen’s caregivers: Ruby, Connie and Charisma. Michael Saddik in San Francisco on February 15, 2009 at age 71 years. Beloved husband of Rachel Saddik; loving father of Samuel (Gina) Saddik and Allen Saddik; adoring grandfather of Noah and Sophie Saddik; dear brother of Abraham (Fortune) Saddik. Michael was a proud father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 17th at Sinai Memorial Chapel in San Francisco.
