Laura Jeane Davidovitz of Marin, daughter of Donna and Morey Davidovitz, and Shawn Tabak of San Francisco, son of Genie and Tom Tabak, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a doctoral graduate student in Psychology. She is the sister of Lisa Davidovitz. Grandparents are Susi Davidovitz and the late Mitch Davidovitz, and Sally and Martin Coffler.

Her fiancé is a consultant at an accounting firm. He is the brother of Adam (and Gabi) Tabak and Maxine (and Clive) Nisse, all of San Francisco. He is the uncle of Nadine Nisse, Abigail Nisse, Ben Tabak, Adela Tabak, and the great-nephew of Tola Mermel. Grandparents are the late Irene and Herman Tabak, and the late Adela and Mayer Shayevitz.

A wedding is planned for the summer in the Bay Area.
