Correspondent | August 7, 2009 Jewish Family and Children’s Service is looking for volunteers for its end-of-life care program, Compassionate Companions. Volunteers support individuals who are in declining health, undergoing challenging treatments, or nearing the end of their lives, helping them to live safely and independently in their homes and improving their quality of life. Seniors At Home will have a 25-hour palliative and end-of-life care volunteer training program that begins Oct. 13. No prior medical or hospice experience is necessary.
