Correspondent | September 11, 2009 Pulitzer Prize–winning novelist Alice Walker of Berkeley will speak Sept. 28 during Beyt Tikkun’s Yom Kippur service at the University of San Francisco. Walker, author of “The Color Purple,” is set to speak sometime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. She will be discussing her recent trip to Gaza and her article in the current issue of Tikkun magazine. The program is part of Beyt Tikkun’s High Holy Day services, led by Rabbi Michael Lerner and taking place at USF’s McLaren Hall, 2130 Fulton Ave., S.F.
