Dwell in a sukkah at West Coast Green Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | September 25, 2009 One of America’s largest green building conferences will this year display the greenest structure of all: a sukkah. About 14,000 people are expected to attend the West Coast Green Conference Oct. 1 to 3 at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco, and all will have the opportunity to sit inside a sukkah. It will be built with sustainable and recycled materials thanks to the collective efforts of leaders from EcoJews of the Bay, the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation and Cong-regation Emanu-El. The sukkah will be on site throughout the conference. Attendees will be able to eat inside, and volunteers will be present to show people rituals and blessings and talk to them about sustainable themes in Judaism and Sukkot.
