The Jewish Theatre San Francisco (formerly Traveling Jewish Theatre) opens its 2009-2010 season with the world premiere of “Stateless: A Hip Hop Vaudeville Experience.” The show runs from Thursday, Oct. 22 to Dec. 6 at TJT’s S.F. theater.

Written by the show’s Bay Area-based stars, Dan Wolf and Tommy Shepherd, the play weaves German and Jewish history with hip-hop, beat box and vaudeville music. It’s based on Wolf’s ancestors, who were famous vaudevillians in early 20th-century Germany. Wolf is the author and star of the hit local stage production, “Angry Black White Boy.”

TJT is located at 470 Florida St., S.F. Tickets: $15-$45. For more information, call (415) 292-1233 or visitwww.tjt-sf.org.
