Correspondent | October 23, 2009 Just for Laughs, Canada’s leading comedy tour, has dropped Irish comic Tommy Tiernan for his anti-Semitic remarks about Jews and the Holocaust, organizers announced Oct. 8. Tiernan was scheduled for a 14-city cross-Canada tour beginning next week. At a music festival in Ireland last month, Tiernan referred to Jews as “f——ing Christ-killing bastards,” and went on to say “f——ing 6 million? I would have got 10 or 12 million out of that. No f——ing problem! F— them. Two at a time, they would have gone. Hold hands, get in there. Leave us your teeth and your glasses.” In a statement quoted by the Toronto Star, Tiernan said he said he was merely trying to parody extremism. — jta J. Correspondent Also On J.
