Correspondent | October 23, 2009 Sales are brisk for Passover Kosher Cruises’ ninth annual sailing, according to president Karen Bushell, who noted an increase in multigenerational family bookings. The cruise will take place aboard the new Celebrity Equinox ship departing from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on March 29 and returning the morning of April 9. Gourmet kosher cuisine will be served on special china and catered by TOV Tours. Rabbi Azriel Fellner and Cantor Howard Shalowitz will lead two seders and daily prayer services. There also will be daily educational lectures and cantorial performances led by scholar-in-residence Abraham Gittelson and Shalowitz. Ceremonial kosher wine will be served at the seders, and will be available in the dining room during the entire voyage. Kashrut will be under Conservative supervision. Equinox offers a spa, half-acre of grass at “The Lawn Club,” a country club–like atmosphere with lawn bowling, a putting green and reading area. There will be glass-blowing demonstrations, enrichment programs, live entertainment and more. Ports of call include Georgetown, Grand Cayman; Cartagena, Columbia; Colon, Panama; Roatan, Honduras; and Cozumel, Mexico. This Passover cruise program has been developed to serve the needs of all streams of Judaism. Additional information can be found at www.passover koshercruises.com or by calling (888) 745-6951. J.
