The Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts at the Osher Marin JCC is concluding its 20th annual outdoor concert series Aug. 7 by celebrating foot-stomping zydeco music from Louisiana with a performance by Geno Delafose & French Rockin’ Boogie. The concert begins at 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Kanbar Center, 200 N. San Pedro Road, San Rafael. A pre-concert line dancing lesson begins at 6:40 p.m. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., and people are invited to have a picnic, enjoy some wine and dance. Tickets cost $20 for members, $25 for the public and $5 for kids 6 to 17. Kids 5 and under are free. Proceeds will benefit “For the Bayou,” an S.F.-based nonprofit concerned about the disappearing Louisiana coastal wetlands and aiding Louisianans in the event of another disaster.
