Correspondent | May 13, 2011 To mark National Jewish American Heritage Month, the Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region will stage its annual Jewish Heritage Festival. The event takes place from 1 to 6 p.m. May 22 on the grounds of the State Capitol in Sacramento. On tap will be Jewish and Israeli cuisine, live music and entertainment, dancing, cultural exhibits, children’s activities and a teen zone. Among the bands scheduled to perform are Marty Cohen and the Sidekicks, the Freilachmakers, Lucy’s Bones and headliner Meshugga Beach Party (who play what is billed as Jewish surf music).
