Israel recently announced that it had successfully upgraded the operational capability of its Iron Dome anti-missile system.

The Ministry of Defense announced Nov. 4 that its Defense Research and Development Division had completed trials testing the system’s upgraded operational capability. The ministry said the most recent trial “marks a significant upgrade in the operational capabilities” of Iron Dome.

An Iron Dome battery — Israel’s fifth in operation — is set to be transferred to the Israeli air force, a ministry spokesman said. — jta
