Terror warning puts Jerusalem on high alert

Security forces in Jerusalem went on high alert Feb. 12 in response to intelligence reports of a possible terror attack in the city.

The raised alert level affected police, firefighters and Magen David Adom emergency crews, among others. Police conducted security checks on cars entering Jerusalem at several points.

Jerusalem police did not release any details on the contents of the intelligence information. It reportedly was the first time the level was raised in more than a year. — jta
