Mourning the Temple

The Yeashore Community is bringing together a dozen Jewish organizations, including eight synagogues, in honor of Tisha B’Av, which commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem. Considered the saddest day on the Jewish calendar, the event will begin with a dairy potluck, followed by teachings from congregational leaders and concluding with a candlelighting ceremony to recall the destruction of the Temples and other tragedies in Jewish history.
