City proclaims Jewish heritage. Since the Gold Rush, Jews have shaped San Francisco’s history. Honoring those contributions, City Hall will celebrate Jewish Heritage Month for the first time. S.F. State professor Marc Dollinger will highlight the city’s Jewish past, and Brandeis Hillel Day School youth will present a musical program, followed by a reception. Speakers include Mayor Ed Lee, Supervisor Scott Wiener and Jewish Community Relations Council and Jewish Community Federation representatives.
