From “The Dove Flyer”

Jewish in Baghdad: Based on a novel by Eli Amir, “The Dove Flyer” examines the rich culture and difficult lives of Iraqi Jews in the late ’40s and ’50s through the eyes of Kabi, a Jewish boy living with his family in Baghdad. Part of the Carmel Jewish Film Festival, the screening will be preceded by a dessert reception and followed by a panel discussion with Iraq-born Jews David Sabih and Sadok Masliyah, along with U.C.
