Need someone to root for at the Academy Awards? Try a member of the tribe. Among the notable nominees with a Jewish connection at the Feb. 24 ceremonies are the Israeli documentary “The Gatekeepers,” which consists of interviews with six former heads of the Shin Bet; the documentary “5 Broken Cameras,” about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; and favorite son Steven Spielberg (pictured), nominated as best director for “Lincoln,” which also is in the running for best picture.
