Panel looks at anti-Semitism in Europe
The Anti-Defamation League will host a forum on European anti-Semitism at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29 at Congregation Beth Am, 26790 Arastradero Road, Los Altos Hills.

Temple forms mental illness support group
Temple Isaiah in Lafayette will hold the first session of its mental illness support group from 7 to 9 p.m. May 5 at Walnut Creek office of Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay.
A project of Temple Isaiah’s P’tach Libeynu (Open Our Hearts), the group will meet for eight sessions, the first and third Tuesday of the month through August. Two professionals will facilitate the meetings, which are for families of adults with mental illness.

$3.2 million awarded for new fellowships
The S.F.-based Jim Joseph Foundation has given a $3.2 million grant to Bar-Ilan University’s Lookstein Center for Jewish Education to develop the Jim Joseph Foundation Fellowships–Leading Educators Online Program. Fourteen Jewish educators from across the country will be accepted into the first program, which begins in October.
The fellowship will offer educators from JCCs, Jewish camps and schools ongoing professional development, retreats in the United States and seminars in Israel. Fellows receive an annual stipend of $10,000 for each of the program’s two years, in addition to travel expenses and room and board at seminars and retreats.
For nearly 30 years, Israel’s Lookstein Center has trained Jewish educators and produced curriculum services for Jewish education worldwide. Big event in Marin for special needs families
For three days starting Friday, April 24, the Marin Jewish community will come together for B’Yachad: A Celebration of Life.
B’Yachad (Hebrew for “together”) is an inclusive weekend of observances and activities to welcome families with special needs and also raise awareness about developmental disabilities.
B’Yachad is presented by a collaboration of eight partnering organizations and synagogues: the S.F.-based Bureau of Jewish Education, the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation, Chabad of Mill Valley, Jewish Family and Children’s Services, Congregation Kol Shofar, Congregation Rodef Sholom, Osher Marin JCC and Youth in Arts of Marin.

Donor drive set for Peninsula woman
A bone marrow donor drive will be held this weekend in an effort to find a match for a North Peninsula Jewish community woman recently diagnosed with leukemia.
The Just4Julie Marrow Donor Drive will take place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25 at Highlands Recreation Center, 1851 Lexington Ave., San Mateo.

Israeli-Palestinian films at CSU East Bay
The Jewish Studies program at California State University East Bay in Hayward is featuring a series of Israeli and Palestinian films beginning Wednesday, April 29.
The “Through a Lens of Hope” film series will include films and discussions at 7 p.m. every Wednesday for four straight weeks. The 1984 Israeli film “Beyond the Walls” kicks off the series next week, followed by “Wedding in Galilee” May 6, “Salata Baladi” May 13 and “Encounter Point” May 20.

Free networking workshops in Santa Rosa
Jewish Family and Children’s Services in Santa Rosa is holding a free job-networking series 1:30 to 3 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of every month. The next session is May 14.
As part of its Jewish Emergency Assistance Network (JEAN), JFCS wants to make the process of networking easier by helping participants identify their greatest strengths and understand their transferable skills.
