The Postal Service has printed 35 million of its new 2009 Chanukah stamps, which cost 44 cents each and became available for purchase in sheets of 20 last month.

The first-class stamp, which features a photographed menorah with nine lit candles, marks the third time the Postal Service has released a new original stamp commemorating Chanukah. The first was released in 1996. — jta
