S.F.-based Jewish Family and Children’s Services will hold its Ninth Annual Émigré Community Gala on Feb. 6 at San Francisco’s Palace Hotel. Hosted by members of the Bay Area Russian-speaking émigré community, the gala raises funds to support the needy in the Bay Area and Israel.

Co-chaired by JFCS supporters Alla and Boris Lipkin, the gala features an hors d’oeuvres and wine reception beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by a dinner program and dancing to live music. Proceeds go toward financial assistance for families impacted by the economic crisis, youth scholarships, healing for child victims of trauma and their families, and care for frail elderly.

The Palace Hotel is located at 2 New Montgomery St., S.F. Tickets are $295, or $180 for guests 35 and under. For more information or to reserve a ticket, call (415) 449-1256.
