A Wyoming man who police say scrawled “Hitler” across a teenager’s forehead with a marker before assaulting him was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Scott Daniel Hovde, 32, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and battery in Natrona County Circuit Court on Feb. 23. Police say Hovde and the teenager were among those drinking in the basement of a Casper, Wyo., house the night of Feb. 21.
Police say the 16-year-old is part Jewish and didn’t have a problem when another teenager drew a swastika on his face, but took offense after Hovde took control of the marker and wrote on his forehead.
During the confrontation, police say Hovde, who was on probation, punched the boy in the eye. — ap
