Gan Ilan is a year-round, state-licensed preschool providing children with the opportunity for cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual growth in a safe, nurturing environment that encourages love of learning and fosters independence. Our program is designed to encourage imagination and curiosity and our experienced teachers foster self esteem and respectful social relationships through a curriculum rich in opportunities for exploration and discovery.

Our “core” program is 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in our 2’s, 3’s and 4’s classrooms. There is flexibility in tailoring your child’s schedule to meet your needs. Our 2’s program (Oranim), is a warm, nurturing environment for our youngest children, with plenty of sensory motor activities offered daily. The 3’s program (Arazim) is also rich in sensory experiences. The curriculum weaves in an emergent approach to learning, with projects that appeal to children’s interests, stimulate their creativity and encourage sharing and collaboration. The 4’s class (Alonim) enjoys a curriculum that includes project work plus art, science, nature and language units. All classes incorporate the unifying theme of Jewish holidays, illustrated through music, art and celebrations. (Children in diapers are welcome.)

We offer extended care from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Children enjoy daily thematic units in cooking, movement, art, science and Shabbat Club on Fridays.

Gan Ilan Preschool offers an integrated family experience that connects the child, family, school and Jewish community. We are affiliated with Temple Isaiah and located on their beautiful site in Lafayette. Temple Isaiah opened its doors in 1952 and is a Reform congregation of 900 families. It has a proud history of enhancing and perpetuating Jewish traditions and of being a spiritual, welcoming home for the community.”
