A new grant-giving foundation will provide one-time grants to help improve the quality of life for Holocaust survivors living in the United Kingdom.
The Six Point Foundation said it has $6.3 million to assist victims of Nazi persecution or refugees, fugitives or emigrants from Nazi Germany or Nazi-occupied territories.
Grants could be used for medical costs, travel costs, special equipment including medical beds and stairlifts, and heating costs.
The foundation was established to distribute funds raised from the disposal of land and property assets owned by the Otto Schiff Housing Association. It is expected to remain in operation for five to seven years, or until all the funds have been distributed.
