Inspired by Jewish values of social justice, JCL mobilizes volunteer reading tutors from all backgrounds and supports parents and child- and family-serving organizations to help emerging and struggling readers. Many are English Learners.

A caring presence and weekly commitment can make all the difference for children striving to catch up from years of pandemic-related learning loss.
