Middle school girls* are invited to join us as we engage with biblical, Talmudic and contemporary Jewish stories of female figures and creatively rejuvenate them with our dreams, imaginations, voices and practices that are meaningful to our lives.

Through the imagining and creating of new stories and artifacts — weaving words, movement, music and materials in creating an object that itself is a Midrash — participants will examine themes that are relevant to their lives.

This process contributes to the collective Midrash project by including marginalized and/or silenced voices. In an end-of-the-year exhibition, participants will share their voices and journeys with the community by presenting their story and an artifact they produce.
