To kick off 2017 at the Magnes, an opening reception will celebrate the museum’s two new exhibits: “The Power of Attention,” which showcases examples of shiviti, meditative art often featured in Jewish manuscripts, and “From the Photographer’s Archive: Roman Vishniac.” Attendees will hear from the museum’s curators and a community leader talking about the the future of the archive, plus others.
