El Al, Israel’s national airline, is offering substantial savings this summer on airfares from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv. The roundtrip fare, per person, is $999 for departures between July 18 and Aug. 15. For vacationers departing between June 19 and July 17, the roundtrip fare is $1,099 from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv.

This summer, El Al will have five direct flights every week between Los Angeles and Tel Aviv — the only airline offering this service with no change of planes. Flights depart Los Angeles every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and return from Israel on the same days. For the convenience of El Al passengers traveling from Israel, customs and immigration is conducted upon arrival in Los Angeles. 

In addition, El Al is offering lower-cost summer airfares from New York, Chicago and Miami to Israel. The roundtrip fare, per person, is $899 nonstop from New York (JFK or Newark), $959 roundtrip from Chicago and $999 from Miami for departures between July 18 and Aug. 15.

For vacationers departing between June 19 and July 17, roundtrip fares are $939 from New York, $1,019 from Chicago and $1,059 from Miami.

The increased summer flight schedule includes 29 nonstop flights every week from New York (JFK and Newark) as well as two every week from Miami and Chicago.

All the above prices are for coach class on certain El Al flights and must be ticketed within 72 hours of confirmed reservation, at least seven days before departure on or before June 4. Applicable taxes are not included. Cancellation and change penalties plus other restrictions may apply.
