Moishe House Oakland — the flagship location of a residential and social program for Jews in their 20s — recently settled into a new location in Berkeley and changed its name to Moishe House East Bay.

The move represents several changes for the first Moishe House, such as new residents and programming. Within the five-bedroom home, each resident will have the opportunity to help build community, with emphases on music, art and sustainable eating.

Moishe House East Bay still plans to host at least seven events every month, including its Torah the Explorah text study program. The headquarters for Moishe House, which has 33 houses in 13 countries, is still located in downtown Oakland.
