The Anti-Defamation League has received assurances from Whole Foods Market that the company does not engage in boycotts of products from Israel or any other country.
Abraham H. Foxman, ADL national director, said that Whole Foods carries “a number of Israeli products and have assured us that they do so with pride.”
The ADL contacted Whole Foods in response to a rumor circulating on the Internet suggesting that the supermarket chain was engaged in a boycott and had refused to stock Israeli products.
Whole Foods said the rumor began circulating among bloggers at the same time its buyers were on a sourcing trip to Israel.
