A Jewish day school in Florida is hiring former NBA All-Star Kenny Anderson to coach its boys’ basketball team.
Anderson, 40, will head the squad at the 120-student David Posnack Jewish Day School in Davie, Bloomberg reported.
Anderson, a highly sought-after guard following a sensational career at Archbishop Molloy High in New York City, played two seasons at Georgia Tech before being drafted No. 2 overall in 1991 by the New Jersey Nets. Over his 14-year NBA career he played with nine teams, averaging 12.6 points and 6.1 assists.
The boys’ team at the Posnack School, which is located in south Florida’s Broward County, finished 10-11 last season, athletic director Mitch Evron said in a phone interview. — jta
