Great films on the great wall
The first Friday of every month, a diverse slice of the Bay Area’s population — art lovers, all — flocks to downtown Oakland for Art Murmur, featuring gallery openings and cultural offerings. The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival will get in on the act next weekend by projecting short films onto the Great Wall of Oakland (really — it has its own website and everything), located on West Grand Avenue between Broadway and Valley streets. Come admire the art, nosh on food truck specialties and get a dose of Jewish culture, all in one evening.
