Jason Bernstein and Katie Quinn Bernstein welcomed a daughter, Matilda Jane Bernstein, on July 15, 2017. Matilda is the granddaughter of Eve Bernstein and Alex Gersznowicz of San Francisco and Kona and Debbie and Jim Quinn of Victoria, B.C. Niece of Rachel, Julie, Daniel, Matthew, Ashely, Andrew and Kerry. Cousin of Koby, Ella, Tessa and Stone of the Bay Area and Teddy, Casper and Sully of Victoria. Matilda is the newest family favorite!

Engagements

Mark and Laurie Benson of Hillsborough joyfully announce the engagement of their son Andrew Benson to Lauren Magnus of Seattle.

The two met while attending the University of Arizona, graduating together in 2013. Upon graduation they moved to Burlingame. Andrew worked for Stanford Athletics in sales and marketing and Lauren went to work for Yelp Inc. as a sales representative. After three years they shifted careers. Andrew went into the real estate industry and Lauren is with a startup in Silicon Valley.

Andrew proposed to Lauren at the Forum in Rome, much to her delight and surprise, with a hidden photographer capturing all the memories.

Happy parents of the bride-to-be are Anna and Guy Magnus of Seattle. Lauren has two brothers; Nate (Danielle) and Mat (Lauren). Grandparents are Martin and Dorothy Magnus of Tri Cities, Washington, and grandmother Dorothy Baughman of Yakima, Washington.

Andrew has a sister, Ashley Benson of Burlingame. Grandparents are Henry and Sandy Stein of Campbell and Lillian Benson and the late Leon Benson of Daly City.
