Engagements Sara (Sari) Naggar Bourne and Matthew Aaron Kaplan are to be married on Feb. 18, 2018, by Rabbi Michal Bourne at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco. Sari, 33, will be starting as counsel at Genentech later this month. She graduated from Stanford University and received a juris doctor degree from Emory University School of Law. She is the daughter of the late Michaela (Mickey) Naggar Bourne and Dr. Jeffrey Bourne. Her mother previously led Israel education programming at the Bureau of Jewish Education (now Jewish LearningWorks). Matthew, also 33, is on the public policy team at Lyft headquarters in San Francisco and previously served as the national surrogate finance director for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. He graduated from Oberlin College. He is the son of Jana and Kenneth Kaplan of Claremont, California. Sari and Matthew met in D.C., and their first date was at Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar, a testament to their California roots. They currently reside in San Francisco.
