After a long and stormy night, in the wee hours of Dec. 1, 2019, future Camp Tawonga wilderness leader Meadow Brooks Mandel was born in San Francisco to lifelong Tawongans Aaron Mandel and Charley Brooks. The happy grandparents are Robert and Johanna Mandel of El Cerrito and Robert Brooks and Dale Brodsky of Orinda.
