Golden dreams
The Contemporary Jewish Museum’s “California Dreaming” has been a hit for Bay Area residents and tourists alike since the exhibit opened in November 2011. Through photos, videos and artwork, “Dreaming” tells the story of regional Jewish life in a way that speaks to a variety of experiences — from Levi Strauss, to the Jewish chicken farmers who helped establish Petaluma, to the rainbow of contemporary Bay Area Jews who have contributed in their own distinct ways.
