Dan Schifrin is the Contemporary Jewish Museum’s first writer-in-residence (complete with drafty attic room and quill pen). He’s also j.’s ideas columnist, writing about the intersection between Jewish values and the larger American cultural conversation in “The Space Between,” an offshoot of his CJM podcast. On Thursday, Sept. 13, Schifrin will discuss how the Jewish identities of many creative types are influenced by the awkward yet enriching “space between” what they do and what Jewish wisdom has to offer. He might show pictures, too.
