Sheree Roth of Palo Alto will receive a lifetime achievement award for her efforts to combat anti-Israel information when Hillel of Silicon Valley hosts its annual Pillars of the Community on March 17.
Also in line for honors are Sue Maltiel, the former executive director of Hillel of Silicon Valley, and Judy Miner, president of Foothill College. Maltiel’s tenure included the completion of Hillel’s new home near the San Jose State campus. In addition, several students will be recognized for their leadership on South Bay college campuses.
The 11:30 a.m. event at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View will include two auctions. The guest speaker will be Dadi Perlmutter, an executive at the Intel Architecture Group and a strong supporter of Hillel. Cost is $90 and includes a kosher lunch.
