Serious cyclists and casual pedalers alike are gearing up for the fourth annual Hazon Golden Gate Ride, set for Memorial Day weekend May 24-27.

Four pre-event training rides are on the schedule between now and May 19. Details are on the website listed below.

Registration is still open for the ride, which starts with an optional Shabbat retreat at Walker Creek Ranch in Marin that includes food, educational workshops, outdoor activities and a Havdallah dance party.

The ride begins on May 26, with first-day routes of either 37, 61 or 85 miles, all promising amazing views. On the second day, the options are 40- or 60-mile routes, ending with a ride over the Golden Gate Bridge.

Registration fees vary, depending on factors such as age and participation levels. Riders must do their own fundraising, either by pledges or other means, which helps to finance the ride and other Hazon programs. Crew members also are needed to support the cyclists on the road.
