The Yeashore Community, which for 18 years has put on Jewish-themed bonfires to mark Havdallah, will be moving to a new East Bay location starting with its July 27 event.

The group, which also holds free bonfires at Ocean Beach in San Francisco, will move from the Emeryville Marina to a new spot in Berkeley  near the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Blake Street.

Yeashore events sometimes attract more than 100 people, but the new location cannot accommodate more than 50, said the group’s leader, maggid Raja Anderson. People interested in attending the 7 p.m. July 27 event need to RSVP to [email protected] by July 24 to receive the location. For more information, visit www.yeashore.org.
