Looking for the perfect greeting card to express your warmest Thanksgivukkah wishes? Santa Rosa-based designer Carol Vanek created one especially for this once-in-an-eon occasion.
Vanek says Chaim Mahgel, owner of Afikomen Judaica in Berkeley, asked her to come up with a design. “As I love challenges, I rose to the task,“ she said. “After several rounds of fine tuning, they gave me their stamp of approval.” Mahgel ordered five dozen to sell.
Also on the holiday card front: San Francisco cartoonist Michael Capozolla came up with a Hanukkah card of his own. A droll reference to shoe designer Manolo Blahnik, the card is on sale at Dayenu Gifts and Books at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco.
