sunday/20

It’s a wrap: The Silicon Valley Jewish Film Festival is ending its 25th season with two documentaries that address the Holocaust in vastly different ways. The Hungarian film “Keep Quiet” follows the dramatic transformation of an anti-Semitic leader of the far-right who learns his maternal grandparents were Jewish. Then “The Last Laugh,” which includes interviews with a number of legendary Jewish comedians, considers whether it is ever acceptable to use humor in connection with the Holocaust. Following the film is a Q&A with director Ferne Pearlstein and Auschwitz survivor Renee Firestone, who is featured in the documentary, an appearance by musician and author Jake Ehrenreich, and a reception.

Sunday, Nov. 20: “Keep Quiet,” 3:30 p.m. ($11-$13); “The Last Laugh,” 5:30 p.m. ($30). At Oshman Family JCC, 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto. www.svjff.org
