A Jewish Renewal community combining innovative and traditional approaches. Hosts Zoom-based noon yeshiva classes weekdays, Zoom-based Shabbat services every Friday night and Saturday morning, and Zoom celebrations of all Jewish holidays and observances. Meets for holidays, Shabbats, lifecycle events, guest speakers and progressive discussion groups—mostly on Zoom. Otherwise, hybrid events at homes and sacred spaces throughout Berkeley. Led by Rabbi-in-Residence and director of the Aquarian Minyan Yeshiva Jonathan Seidel (see website for details) and lay leaders, the minyan provides opportunities for personal growth and creativity. The gatherings are opportunities for joyful participatory worship, deep learning and contemplation, with space for music, connection, individual expression, meditation, dance and weekly prayer circle led by Rabbi Emerita Diane Elliot.
