Now in its hundredth season of singing and performing. Rehearsing on Tuesday evenings, September through June, in San Francisco, near the San Francisco JCC.  The full chorus performs three to five concerts per season.

The full chorus sings in three- or four-part harmony, led by Lisa Sargent, conductor, and accompanied by Inara Morgenstern on piano.  A new  group, Zingeray, sings in unison and is led and accompanied by Ami Goodman on guitar and Marvin Feldman on harmonica.  This group rehearses on Zoom with one or two in-person rehearsals before each concert.

Both choruses perform in formal settings, libraries, labor festivals, residences for seniors, community events and more.

No previous group singing, or experience with Yiddish is required. Recorded music, in voice parts, is provided on Google Docs. making practicing at home even easier.

Founded in 1926, the chorus honors its history as a labor chorus, sharing the legacy of labor poets and singing songs of struggle, hope, love and laughter.
