Several Bay Area Jewish groups are organizing financial and material aid for victims of the ongoing wildfires still devastating parts of Northern California, including Napa and Sonoma counties. Here are a few ways you can help. All of the below organizations are 501(c)(3) nonprofits working to bring immediate relief to those affected by the fires.
1. Direct help with needed items and shelter
Keep checking this list of goods and services that are needed in the affected area. It is being updated throughout the day to reflect current needs. People able to offer temporary housing to evacuees are needed, as well as people willing to take in pets. Keep checking throughout the crisis.
2. Federations’ North Bay Wildfire Emergency Fund
The Jewish Federations in San Francisco and the East Bay have teamed up to create the North Bay Wildfire Emergency Fund. Click here to donate.
