S.F. Jewish Film Festival opens with documentary “Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles,” about the famed musical and its genesis. Director Max Lewkowicz to appear. Followed by catered, 21-and-over party at Contemporary Jewish Museum, 736 Mission St., S.F. 9 p.m. $30-$35 for film, $65-$75 for both.

August 30—”Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles” opening at Opera Plaza and Shattuck Cinemas, 2230 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley.
August 16—”Love, Antosha” opening at Opera Plaza and Shattuck Cinemas.
