Answers also differed among Jews and Arabs on the subject of what kind of state they want to live in. Forty-one percent of Arabs said they wanted to live in a “democratic state,” 41 percent said “a state of all its citizens” and 9 percent said a “Jewish democratic state.”

Among Jews, the results were 29 percent for a “democratic state,” 10 percent said “a state of all its citizens” and 48 percent said a “Jewish democratic state.”

The margin of error is 4.5 percent.
