“It Was Love at First ‘Fiddler,’” this week’s episode of “Such a Match!,” tells the sweet story of Jackie and Mark, who met through the Jewish Bulletin’s personal ads. Jackie, who was raised Roman Catholic, began to fall in love with Judaism at a young age — when her family went to see “Fiddler on the Roof” in a movie theater in the early 1970s.

As she grew up, the men she was attracted to all happened to be Jewish. In the 1990s, she started to read the Bulletin, which showed up in her boyfriend’s mailbox every week. After they broke up, she decided to subscribe. And in July 1994, Jackie left Mark a voicemail in response to his personal ad. This week’s Jewish love story is about their instant connection, as well as her conversion to Judaism.
